Before you book.
My drive is making a clicking noise. What do I do?
Turn it off and call. Clicking usually means physical failure, and every additional minute of running reduces what can be recovered.
Is OneDrive or Google Drive a backup?
Not on its own. Sync services copy your deletions and your ransomware encryption straight to the cloud. Versioning helps, but it is not the same as a real backup.
How much data can you recover?
It depends on the failure and whether the drive kept being used. We assess first and tell you honestly, including when a specialist clean-room lab is the only remaining option.
